Cross your T's, Dot your I's

The Robie Creek Rock Festival scheduled to run June 28-29 at Robie Creek Park was canceled due to "last-minute permit complications." It's so unfortunate when events like these are called off because of some bureaucratic regulation, but as many a festival organizer will attest, one missed signature or a misplaced comma and the whole event can go up in smoke.

While the cancellation could have been more tragic—the money raised from a silent auction was earmarked to benefit the Snake River Alliance (the folks who work to find viable alternatives to nuclear power)—the story does have a happy ending. Home Street Entertainment, the company presenting the event, has rescheduled most of the music, crafts, food, drink, drummers and dancers to July 12 and 13. And proceeds from a silent auction will still benefit the alliance. For more information, visit snakeriveralliance.org or call Home Street Entertainment at 208-860-6779.
