Even Stevens Announces Downtown Boise Opening Date

Even Stevens, a Salt Lake City-based sandwich chain that has donated thousands of sandwiches to nonprofits in Utah and Arizona, has announced a Wednesday, April 20 opening date for its Boise location.

The shop, which will be located at 815 W. Bannock St. in downtown Boise, operates on a unique business model. For every sandwich sold, the shop provides a sandwich to an area nonprofit.

"We're really the first ones to incorporate that Tom's shoes philosophy—the buy-one-give-one model—into the industry, so we're really excited about the success we've seen but also the influence we'll be able to have in communities, and hopefully for the industry as a whole," said Even Stevens Creative Director Jamie Coates in December.

The company has already announced partnerships with Treasure Valley nonprofits, including Idaho Foodbank, Society of St. Vincent De Paul, Boise Rescue Mission and Corpus Christi House. What's more, it will source from local food and drink providers, including Payette Brewing Company, Flying M Coffee and Gaston's Bakery.
