Fairmont Pool Reopens After Vandalism, New Security Will Be Installed 

It turns out that the July 30 event was the fourth incident of vandalism at the pool in the past six months.

Fairmont Pool has reopened after being the target of vandal(s), which shut down the pool for a day after culprit(s) emptied two fire extinguishers into the pool's water. Additionally, the administrative office at the pool was vandalized. It turns out that the July 30 event was the fourth incident of vandalism at the pool in the past six months.

The Boise Parks and Recreation Department has confirmed that surveillance cameras and alarms will be installed at the pool.

Meanwhile, Boise Police are still looking for the public's assistance in their investigation into the crime. Citizens are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.

Boise pools will remain open until the beginning of the new school year, which is now a little more than three weeks away.
