Go Google Guy, Go

Google guy Aaron Stanton is at it again with another trip to Google headquarters in California.

Last February, Stanton made international news with his pilgrimage to Google headquarters in California, where he showed up, unannounced, to pitch an idea to the Internet search engine company (BW, Features, "The Google Kid," March 7, 2007). Through his blog, CanGoogleHearMe.com, Stanton eventually landed a meeting with Google execs and gained worldwide attention, making him the posterboy for the modern David vs. Goliath struggle.

After last year's quest fizzled with a response from Google, which Stanton declined to call a "no," he told BW he was moving forward on his project without Google. Stanton has yet to reveal the specifics; however, speculation points to Novel Projects, Inc., a company he started while attending the University of Idaho.

Stanton and a team of programmers, who have worked out of a garage and via the Internet, rendezvoused last week in California for what Stanton calls "Chapter Three: Releasing Ideas."

In a video on his blog, Stanton says his mission is still the same. Now, however, Google isn't Stanton's only target. He's set his sights on Microsoft and Amazon as well. The details of the project will be released—"barring any extraordinary events"—to the public on March 10.
