It's Finally Out In the Open

Boise band Sub*Vert is releasing an EP (manipulated and mastered by our friends at Boise's Tonic Room Studios), When the Earth Screams, on Sworn In Records. For more information, check out www.sworninrecords.com or www.subvertcrew.com.

In With the Old, In With the New

Justin Timberlake and Duran Duran are working on a record together. According a spokesperson for Double D, "They are currently trying to schedule more time to get together again and finish the project." Apparently, Future Sex/Love Songs (Timberlake's new release) producer Timbaland produced this collaboration.

Hell Has Officially Frozen Over

Keith Richards claims he's off drugs for good.

If By Operation: Mindcrime You Mean Operation: Awesome Concert, Then OK

This year, Queensryche brings Operation: Mindcrime II, the sequel to their 1988 concept album, Operation: Mindcrime, to life on stages all across the country. Operation: Mindcrime is a rockopera about a man, disillusioned with American society who decides to be a major part of destroying America's money and power-hungry leaders. Experimental and progressive in nature, the album pushed Queensryche to the forefront of the thinking man's metal groups. The main focus of Operation: Mindcrime II is Nikki--the protagonist--and his desire to exact revenge on Doctor X. Queensryche will play out both stories on October 18 at the Big Easy.

Born Again

Also in October, Lyrics Born will be back in Boise. His last show earlier this year at Neurolux was hugely successful, even getting people to the who seldom go out after dark. This time he'll be at Big Easy and he's bringing Pigeon John along for the ride. Our own Kamphire Collective will also be there supporting the happy vibe. Catch the groove October 26. Tickets are $35.
