Kustra in the House

While Boise State will make a splash in the Capitol this week, President Bob Kustra has already met with lawmakers extensively about the school's agenda for this year's Legislature. Without the fanfare that comes with "Boise State Day," this week, Kustra quietly spent some time with lawmakers within Boise State's 10-county region.

Some of his goals are in the mix already: Kustra is pushing for a needs-based scholarship program, something Gov. Butch Otter highlighted in his State of the State speech. Kustra is also pushing for money to create a permanent building fund for new campus construction, for faculty recruitment, and to help with additional repair projects the school has in mind.
