Local Girls on the Run Featured on PGA TV 

Thanks A Billion, a one-hour TV special program presented by the PGA Tour and AstraZeneca, takes a closer look at five of the thousands of charities that received charitable funding from PGA Tour events, including Boise's chapter of Girls on the Run.

Girls on the Run is a non-profit organization dedicated to incorporating community service, physical activity and psychological well being into an after-school program for girls in grades 3 to 5. The programs aims to improve girls' physical shape while enhancing their self-esteem and self-worth through mentoring and community involvement.

Thanks A Billion airs nationally December 17, at 1 p.m. MST on ABC, local channel 6.
