Martini Mix-Off: The Winners

After sipping and saucing their way through downtown bars for the last four weeks, the judges have dropped the gavel.

At last Friday's grand finale gala, this year's Martini Mix-Off judges, bartenders and groupies gathered for a final party in the name of the martini. The general idea was to announce the winners in three martini categories, and dole out awards for best food, best spirit or "show," and the people's choice. Behind all that award giving, though, the gathering was driven by a single motive: martini drinking. Here are this year's top awards:

2. The Martinez, Johnny Abens, Bittercreek Alehouse

3. Cocytus, Jen Koble, Pair

Savory Martini

2. Royale, Sarah Proctor, Tablerock

3. Vitamin "V", Sean Early, Bardenay
