New Tuber Takeout

Tubers in the river have another option for getting out of the river. The Boise City Public Works Department built a new tuber takeout just downstream of the footbridge featuring concrete ramps and steps to help get in and out of the river. Also added were more trash cans and recycling receptacles. The $46,000 project puts tubers a little bit closer to the dangerous dam a little further downstream. Hey, that's part of the thrill now that the city will most likely ban drinking after given the thumbs-up from the attorney general. We'd like to thank the vociferous minority for ruining it for the rest of us. Now we'll have to decant our wine into Sonic cups for the journey.
