If your brew brand of choice is Pacific, Rainier or Steel Reserve, you might consider stocking up. One of the major retailers of those brands, the Idaho State Liquor Dispensary, is considering dropping its three remaining brands of beer sold at Idaho liquor stores. The discussion is an annual one, said James "Dyke" Nally, superintendent of the dispensary. Beer sales, he said, make up only about $75,000 worth of sales, out of a total of about $120 million annually. "We've done it as a customer convenience," Nally said. The state is allowed to sell any alcohol, by law, but has steered clear of the beer biz to avoid competing with regular retailers. They do carry Idaho wines, Nally said.
