The Northwest Narratives Print Exchange Portfolio contains the work of 20 artists representing four northwestern states: Idaho, Oregon, Washington and Montana. Each was asked to create an edition of 25 prints that reflects their ideas surrounding visual narration. As a body of work, the prints demonstrate a wide scope of possible methods. The diverse subject matter and range of processes used in the works illustrate a vibrant and inclusive understanding of the variety of ways to communicate narration.
Each artist received a portfolio containing the work of all of the other participating artists. Four of the remaining five portfolios have been offered to museums throughout the Northwest and are being reviewed for accession. The final portfolio is intended as an exhibition portfolio.
