Note May 7, 2008 

Somebody send a thank-you note to U.S. Sen. Larry Craig from the Idaho media. Without his legal troubles, we would probably have had a very short list of awards to hand out at the Idaho Press Club's annual ceremony.

Whether it was investigative reporting or editorials taking him to task, Idaho's senior senator blessed reporters with his problems.

My favorite headline from the event was from the University of Idaho's Argonaut newspaper: "Craig leaves lasting mark on University."
