The Sun Valley Film Festival
promises more star power for its 2016 affair, slated for March 2-6. Following visits from Jodie Foster, Clint Eastwood, Bruce Dern, Bill Paxton and others during the festival's first two years, SVFF announced Monday that Oscar-winning filmmaker Oliver Stone will be at the 2016 festival to pick up the Lifetime Vision Award, presented by Zions Bank.

Stone will participate in the festival's popular Coffee Talks series, where filmmakers share behind-the-ropes insight during the free and informal gathering. Oliver Stone has written and directed more than 20 full-length feature films, including Platoon (1986), Wall Street (1987), Born on the Fourth of July (1989), The Doors (1991), JFK (1991), Natural Born Killers (1994) and Nixon (1995).

SVFF has already begun its ticket sales for the 2016 festival with 10 percent discounts available until Dec. 31. Individual film tickets are expected to go on sale in February when the festival's full slate is announced.
