River Rats Wanted For a Good Cause

The Boise Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volunteers for the AdVenture program’s upcoming river trips. River lovers with some extra time on their hands are wanted to captain boats and serve as safety guides. Previous river experience is necessary. This year’s trips include both the Main and Cabarton sections of the Payette, the Main Salmon from Riggins to Lucile and the Hells Canyon section of the Snake River. The AdVenture program offers recreational excursions and activities to Boiseans with physical and developmental disabilities. For information on how to volunteer or to sign up for training, call Joe Neal at 384-4486 or send an e-mail to jneal@cityofboise.org.
