Santa Sangre

p>For the first time, Alejandro Jodorowsky's 1989 macabre masterpiece, Santa Sangre, will be available on DVD in the United States.

Santa Sangre is the story of young Fenix, who witnesses his philandering circus-strongman father cut the arms off of his ultra-religious mother. After being confined to a mental institution, an older Fenix becomes his mother's arms ... and her conduit for revenge.

Cinematically, this is an incredibly beautiful piece of film, and as the story dances in and out of flashbacks, viewers will be swept up into the surreal, somber and scary nature of this movie.

The DVD contains an additional five hours of extras, including documentaries, interviews and commentary.
