A Nampa man is behind bars after he was apprehended by police and charged with the robbery of a Boise convenience store.
Boise police responded to a call from the Jacksons Food Store at State Street and Ellens Ferry Drive in the early morning hours of Thursday. That's where witnesses told police an adult male had walked into the store and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect then hopped into a truck and drove away westbound on State Street.
About a half-hour later, Ada County Sheriff's Deputies said they were able to locate the vehicle at the intersection of State and Eagle Road, and placed the suspect under arrest, escorting him to the Ada County Jail.
Officials reported the stolen money had been recovered.
Leopoldo Hinojosa Jr., 22, of Nampa is charged with a felony count of robbery.
