"Ding-dong."

"Hello. I would like to share with you the most amazing book: 'The Book of Mormon.'"

Yes, folks the Book of Mormon—that is, the smash Broadway musical—is coming to Boise. The show that swept the 2011 Tony Awards, taking home nine prizes including Best Musical begins its eight-performance engagement at the Morrison Center Tuesday, July 21, running through Sunday, July 26.

And while the entire Boise run has been sold out, producers have just announced that they have held back a limited number of tickets to be awarded during a special lottery prior to each performance. The tickets will be available at $27.50 each, similar to same-day lotteries that are held each evening at the Broadway theater where it has performed sold-out shows since March 2011. The Broadway lotteries have been known to attract as many as 800 hopeful entries at some performances.

Lottery entries will be accepted at the Morrison Center box office, beginning two and a half hours prior to teach performance; each entry will include a name and the number of tickets (1 or 2) requested to purchase. Then, two hours before curtain, names will be drawn at random. Only one entry is allowed per person. Winners must be present at the box office at the time of the drawing.

The dates and times of The Book of Mormon at the Morrison Center are: Tuesday, July 21, 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, July 22, 7:30 p.m.; Thursday, July 23, 7:30 p.m.; Friday, July 24, 8 p.m.; Saturday, July 25, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sunday, July 26, 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
