They're coming to take me away, ha ha, ho ho, hee hee

Daisy's Madhouse is a new nonprofit theater company in town and like any nonprofit theater they need help to put on productions. Local band Le Fleur (made up of members of defunct local band Speed of Shark), is having a benefit concert to try and raise enough funds to help the Madhouse stage a three-night performance of Reefer Madness: The Musical, at Neurolux later this summer. For more information, visit www.myspace.com/daisysmadhouse.

Le Fleur with How's Your Family, May 11, $5, 9 p.m. Neurolux, 111 N. 11th St., 208-343-0886.

Headbangers Unite

A lot of the bars/venues around town are willing to host different styles of music. Though they may be identified more closely with one particular genre, they understand the importance of stretching and bending the boundaries of sound a bit (or a lot). Look at Terrapin Station: Every couple of Thursday nights is Metal Night at TS. On May 10, local bands Black Tooth Grin and Distal will tear up Terrapin, so loosen up your neck muscles and get ready to rock.

Black Tooth Grin and Distal, May 10, FREE, 9 p.m., Terrapin Station, 1519 W. Main St., 208-342-1776.
