Boise police say they have a new tool that should help them catch a suspect wanted in an attack on two women outside the Boise Towne Square Mall on May 14.
Working with victims and witnesses, police released an artist's sketch Friday night displaying a light-skinned male, possibly in his late 30s, bald or very short hair and stocky build. Police said the suspect has blue eyes and was wearing a sleeveless shirt and shorts at the time of the attack.
Police said the suspect's vehicle is described as an approximately 1997 GMC pickup, teal in color with silver trim along the bottom.
Police detectives said they have evidence that a sexual assault was the likely motive of the attack, during which another woman approached the incident, causing the suspect to flee. Police said as the suspect drove away, he intentionally swerved and struck the second woman causing significant traumatic injuries. The incident occurred shortly before 9 p.m.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.ORIGINAL REPORT: May 15, 2013
