Vandals Strike Fairmont Pool, Shutting Down Facility 

Employees said the suspect or suspects sprayed two fire extinguishers into the pool's water. Employees said the pool will have to remain closed until the entire system can be cleaned. Repairs are expected to top $1,000.

Boise Police are looking for assistance in their investigation of vandalism at the City's Fairmont Pool on West Northview Street.

Early Wednesday morning, employees called police to say they someone had broken into the administrative building at the pool and rifled through offices sometime overnight. Employees said the suspect or suspects sprayed two fire extinguishers into the pool's water. Employees said the pool will have to remain closed until the entire system can be cleaned. Repairs are expected to top $1,000.

Boise Police are investigating the incident as a burglary and vandalism.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 343-COPS.
