The investigation continues into the April 23 drowning death
of University of Idaho College of Science Dean Dr. Paul Joyce. An autopsy confirmed that Joyce, whose body was discovered in a submerged vehicle near the Dworshak Reservoir, was indeed a victim of drowning.
KREM-TV reporter Taylor Viydo attempted to retrace
Joyce's final moments by attaching a camera to his car and leaving the same motel that Joyce departed from on April 23.
Authorities said Joyce left the High Country Inn near the Clearwater County community of Ahsahka, heading to Orofino. But investigators added that Joyce was not familiar with the area, took a series of wrong turns and ultimately his vehicle went into the water near the Big Eddy Boat Ramp of the Dworshak Reservoir.
Investigators are still awaiting toxicology results in the case.
