War in Iraq - March 28, 2007 

U.S. CASUALTIES: As of Tuesday, March 27, 3,235 U.S. service members (including 20 Idahoans) have died since the war in Iraq began in March 2003: 2,613 in combat and 622 from non-combat related incidents and accidents. Injured service members total 13,415.

Since President George W. Bush declared "mission accomplished" aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln on May 1, 2003, 3,089 soldiers have died.
