Complimenting the established Crisis Center program is the WCA Thrift Store. Individuals within the community contribute clothing, household items, and other in valuables that may then be sold to the general public to generate revenue. More importantly, however, these items are then made available, at no cost, to the Crisis Center residents. Often a victim flees a violent home without any material possessions to sustain herself and her family; therefore, immediate access to goods is important to her ability to function on a daily basis, as well as bringing some sense of balance to an already unbalanced situation.
