Do you have Restless Leg Syndrome? (RLS)
Or how about Erectile Dysfunction (ED)?
Or maybe Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)?
Do you have cloggledemoggets of the blowhole, does your liver quiver, does your bladder clatter, does your heart fart?
Does it seem to you that the medical profession and the pharmaceutical companies are inventing new diseases to push pills on you?
From even just watching the commercials, does it seem to you that the side effects of those new drugs can cause you more harm or even kill you faster than the condition they're supposed to alleviate?
Just a thought !

Scary isn't it? The side effects seem to be more hideous than the original condition was to begin with.
Personally I am tired of seeing all these prescription (and non-prescription) med commercials. All they do is cause grief for the medical providers with those who love to self diagnose and then insist they "need" XYZ medication they saw while watching David Letterman.
What is the cure for that pony on the Verison commercial that is eating the dog house and bites? That ad is better than most programs!:D

Q: What's the difference between drug companies running ads for all kinds of ailments, and the pusher down the street?
A: None that I can see.

I would very much like to see the drug ad ban re-instated. 'nough said.

I don't see why prescription medications are advertised to the patients. The doctor should know what is best for the treatment of your symptoms, even though we all know that isn't always the case. Why should a patient as a doctor about a medication? If you really want to be proactive with your health try to stay healthy, keep the lines of communication open with your doctor and do your own research on the diagnoses given. Just my $.02

Except for the extreme sexual and gambling urges that might come along with the RLS medication. I don't remember exactly which one, but I do think I'll be coming down with Restless Leg Syndrome just before my next trip to Vegas....:D

I wholeheartedly agree, but with our elected officials being whores to the pharmaceutical companies I don't see that happening anytime soon.
I also believe there's a psychosomatic thing going on here where if a commercial is shown enough with the symptoms for the medication of what's being advertised people are more likely to start thinking they might have the disease and tell their doctors they need that medicine. Like oh my gosh, I haven't had a bowl movement since yesterday I think I might have chronic constipation!! I'd better get to the doctor for that drug I seen on the TeeVee. Rather than say go buy a bag of prunes.

Q: What's the difference between drug companies running ads for all kinds of ailments, and the pusher down the street?
Answer: The Bush Family invests in the one and arrests the other. All in the interest of their Eli Lilly investments.
