This is good and hopefully the trend will follow so we can get more people interested in education in this state. Everyone knows the GOP does not want our children educated, or our fish to survive or our aquifers to stay wet.

Sounds like there might be hope for Idaho.
That is a good thing, a one party state sure hasn't worked out very well.

I suspect the dems have not converted many idahoans but instead are relying on immigrants from blue hell holes for those numbers, if they are good.

Every time I've gone to the state fair the past few years, especially last year, it seems that people just sorta stroll by the Republican booth.

They were giving out the yellow headbands with the feather advertizing Bill Sali, I commented to the folks behind the counter that they should be ashamed of that guy. One guy wouldn't even admit that he voted for Sali. A couple of people looking on got more than a chuckle out of that comment.

The other thing I noticed is that practically no one was registering to vote at the Republican booth. I saw several people not just registering but talking to the people behind the Democrat booth. Most of them were younger people.

After picking up a few seats the last election for the Idaho legislature I think some of those younger voters are increasing their awareness. The gains were maybe modest the last election, I wonder what's gonna happen this year.

If the recent signature to my posts isn't enough of a clue to my feelings I will point out that the 2006 elections were the first time in my voting history that I did NOT vote a split ticket. After the bush administration and this Idaho legislature for the past several years there is just NO WAY in good conscience I could vote for a Republican for any office anywhere.
