O.K., I'll comment, John McCain is a pile of steaming dung. What the hell are they laughing at, and what the hell kind of smarmy elitist question is that anyway? Since when is it the responsibility of the moderator of a "debate" to attack one of the candidates? I know that's not the first time this has happened this election cycle, but c'mon...could they make it any more obvious what they're trying to do?

It's Fox News would you expect anything less? The video of Cheney in 94 talking of why we didn't go into Baghdad during the first gulf war just reinforces my opinion that the current president is just a lackey to Cheney's wishes.

On edit; If Ron Paul doesn't get the republican nomination, whoever gets elected democrat or republican really should listen to Dr. Paul and at least bring him on as an adviser.

That's a really good idea, and I hope they will do it. However, in my opinion, it would have to be The Democrats, because it's very obvious that The GOP Leadership and talking heads, like Karl Kameron think he's a total lunatic! Democrats on the other hand, are use to having a few "frenge" thinkers in the group! :D

As we have noted there are many countries that have serious population problems and the USA takes only minor notice. Of course when the poor tribal people get to thinning out their population through warfare who comes to the rescue? Our federal government, unless these tribal people are from oil rich nations.

As to Paul he completely ignores any population restraints and a woman's right to privacy. Paul believes on the day of conception that life begins and anything to stop that pregnancy from day 1 should be addressed in the state courts of law. Men, of course, do not have to carry the fetus for 9 months and are often able to ignore the issue for the 18 years that follow or forever.

Paul is against any experiments on frozen embryos and like Bush would withhold all support from overseas family medical service organizations that mention abortion.
Paul voted NO on allowing human embryonic stem cell research.
Voted YES on banning partial-birth abortion except to save mother’s life.
The procedure would be allowed only in cases in which a women's life is in danger, not for cases where a women's health is in danger.
Voted NO on forbidding human cloning for reproduction & medical research.
Vote to pass a bill that would forbid human cloning and punish violators with up to 10 years in prison and fines of at least $1 million. The bill would ban human cloning, and any attempts at human cloning, for both reproductive purposes and medical research. Also forbidden is the importing of cloned embryos or products made from them.
Voted YES on banning Family Planning funding in US aid abroad.
Vote to adopt an amendment that would remove language reversing President Bush's restrictions on funding to family planning groups that provide abortion services, counseling or advocacy. Ron Paul is very pro-life.

He wants to control women's productive rights.

No, he does not want to control any such thing. Actually he says he believes life begins at birth but politically from the federal level of government, it is none of his business. Period. Don't know how you twist what you said out of that.

Completely. We have all these males who say they are pro-life now in a position of power. None of the GOP have said they will reconfirm a woman's right to choose, have they?

Only 365 days of the world's worst presidency left.

Yikes!!! I have to just ignore this for now, I am afraid. You go from falsely accusing Ron Paul of something to "all these males", and from what "he" wants to what others have "not" said - and I have no idea what it all has to do with the fact that Paul does not want to control it because it is none of his business, contrary to your claim.

There are some other troubling things about Ron Paul. (http://www.americanthinker.com/2007/11/the_ron_paul_campaign_and_its.html) What do you think of these items freewolf??

Ron Paul will lose the demographic who might well give him a landslide if they supported him.

His stance towards Israel is the reason why. In a way, it's too bad, because he is morally and constitutionally correct on most every issue.

I don’t know the truth of this or not but Anti-War.com (http://antiwar.com/) is reporting that the majority of military contributors supported Ron Paul (http://www.antiwar.com/blog/2008/02/01/republicans-in-the-military-support-the-antiwar-candidate/), the one antiwar candidate in the Republican primaries. Ron Paul received more contribution from service members than the other three remaining GOP candidates:

As opposed to money from large organizations.
But I haven't looked at his contributors yet.
He's the only candidate with political ads on the major media we get around here anyway.
I'll get to see his grassroots support next Saturday, when the local Republican caucus takes place. If he drops out in the next week I won't bother to go.
Some of his ideas are wacky, but on the whole he's way better ethically than the competition, warts and all.
