Re: “It's Back: Anti-Sharia Law Measure Resurfaces at Idaho Legislature

An utter waste of time and taxpayer money. Under no circumstance would any foreign law ever supercede domestic law on U.S. soil. Such legislation is redundant and serves only to occupy space.

Re: “Boise "Welcoming City" Resolution Affirms City Commitment to Immigrants, Disgust With National Immigration Actions

Has the mayor considered purchasing "My Condolences" cards with to hand out at detainment facilities? Or does his office foresee a jurisdictional issue in delivering signed envelopes to Caldwell?

Re: “ACHD: Idaho Law is 'Ambiguous' on Who Should Be Shoveling Boise Streets

Just another case of two government agencies fighting like 10 year old's while the people footing the bill (tax payers) suffer. Why not just get the job done for the safety aspect and sort the problem out come June or July. Sure glad property taxes went up so instead of getting better service we can pay for the lawyers

How many times have a I heard a Christian Preacher claim that we ought to ignore the U.S. Constitution and instead be ruled by Biblical Law?

Re: “Suiting Up: Planned Parenthood v. Stanton

Felt intimidated by an RV? Ya I know what you mean. I was intimidated by a Budweiser Truck once. Had to Have therapy for almost a year. You should see the PTSD I go through when I hear the song or see the Clydesdale Horses with those blinders on their eyes! What were they doing with those shading their eyes? I don't trust them an inch!

Re: “ACHD: Idaho Law is 'Ambiguous' on Who Should Be Shoveling Boise Streets

I find two things funny about this.
1) they cite that homeowners should shovel. In my neighborhood the only sidewalks shoveled are the homeowner's but nothing is done on what I would call city sidewalks that are in front of schools or around subdivisions etc.
2) They try to excuse because of record snow. Ahem, even moderate years no one does those non-homeowner sidewalks and the fact that they have not been touched at all makes the excuse kinda stupid.

Re: “Headlines for Feb. 1, 2017: What to Know?

Hope that the State of Idaho will take action against people using faith and prayers for healing the sick and injured, instead of seeking medical attention:…

Such a senseless and avoidable death of a child. Should never have happened. Both faith and medicine is good, however there are some things that faith can not heal. Sick and injured people need immediate medical attention. The child who died would be living it doctors were allowed to treat the boy. What a shame. People so who do this should be held to the highest extent of the law. No faith or prayer is worth the death of a child.

Re: “Suiting Up: Planned Parenthood v. Stanton

I felt intimidated during a recent visit to Planned Parenthood by seeing that giant Stanton van posted next to the PP offices. The glass is all shaded so I couldn't see who might be inside and what they might be doing.

Incidentally, the real estate agent who helped Stanton buy the land next to Meridian Planned Parenthood? Gubernatorial candidate Russ Fulcher.

So I guess the Boiseweekly is inciting civil disobedience. I wonder if there are laws being broken or maybe a libel suit on the paper.

Re: “GOP Majority Pushes Tax Cut Bill Through Idaho House Panel

RE: Health and welfare Reconstruction Act: R elating to seniors elderly property tax law.

Dear Representative

I would like for you to sponsor a bill that I am proposing to amend and repeal the existing tax law to make technical changes to the current property tax law. I am proposing 100% automatic tax exemption on property tax on primary residents for Idaho citizens exceeding at the age of seventy years.

In the forefront of the federal government cutting Medicare, little or no interest returns from banks on savings created by the federal government keeping interest rates unnaturally low, this bill would help our elderly population cope with the never ending demand from the government's pillaging of their resources. In return giving our elderly population the recourses to live a dignified and healthy life. This bill would allow at the age of 70 for a 100% automatic property tax exemption. This bill would show that we, the people of Idaho take care of our elderly population, perhaps even stimulating a federally governed mandate.

I welcome a conversation with you regarding your ideas on this matter.

Respectfully submitted, Shall we state a petition to forward this? Call you Rep.

Re: “'Mr. Trump, I Would Be Dead Today If This Country Had Not Let Me In'

I'm happy that Mr. Mancheno found refuge in this great country. But for a man who claims to be an immigration attorney, threatening to "defend the Constitution" from Trump is a little over the top! We can agree - or disagree and argue all day - about the merits of restricting immigration based on "source country," but the executive order was NOT unconstitutional. Every president has probably enacted similar restrictions - including Dear Leader Obama. (The MSM is pretty silent on the similar restriction he imposed on Cuban immigrants, shortly before he left office.)

It's nice that many immigrants have found, and will continue to find, a new home in the USA. But deciding who gets in and who doesn't should ALWAYS have the best interests of the already-here people as the #1 priority. We shouldn't swing the doors open to any and all. (Duh!) Personally, I'd like to see an influx of Christians - they are among the most persecuted of all, in Christian-unfriendly countries.

My 2 cents.

Re: “How Much (and What) Does Idaho Import from Mexico?

"Trust me they are NOT getting good wages for making these items." Why should I trust your claim? Do you know anyone in Mexico that exports goods? Do you know any of these exploited workers?

Re: “How Much (and What) Does Idaho Import from Mexico?

To be clear HunterGirl, Mexico, much like the US, has established labor laws and standards, a minimum wage, guaranteed vacation time, and manditory overtime pay. They treat their citizens about as good as the US treats ours, the problem in their country mirrors our own. The minimum wage doesn't come up as fast as inflation, and the top echelon of society syphens off the majority of the countries wealth. In Mexico the top 10% of the country makes 30x what the bottom 10% make, while in the US the top 1% own 35% of the wealth in our entire economy. Their situation isn't much different then our own.

Re: “Boise State Nationalists Issue Response After Fliers Appear on Campus

Gotta expose them to the light of day. And hold them accountable in person not behind a computer screen. I bet $10000 dollar the author of the nationalist flyer is a dude wearing a trump hat and probably from Caldwell or Nampa. Don't Republicans work???? Just spreading flyers of hate all day??? Sad, sad, nationalistic inbreeds.
