Good for you Butch, thanks for standing up for freedom loving Idaho tax payers and not buckling under to the Mormon right wing control freaks. These people "Mormons" do not have the right to rule Idaho like they rule there own brain washed flock. But they do. Idaho is not a democracy, it is ruled by a ruling class of right wing Republican Mormon men that bow to their church first and have not regard for anyone that disagrees with their Master/Slave mentality.
My one question on this would be, what about helmets? If the plan is to ride these bike on the street, helmets should be a must. If someone gets hit and injured/killed are they going to then sue the city for not providing safety gear? Seems like a huge liability to me.
Geez how they talk out of both sides of their mouths.
Preschool activities and play are not mutually exclusive. Both are beneficial and needed. It is the quality of the schooling and the kind of play that make for a well-rounded childhood experience.
The biggest waste of money is constantly building more and more roads so people can commute 40-50 miles to work, polluting the air and water. Endless acres of blacktop so you have a "free" place for your car to set all day, doing nothing but dripping petroleum and chemicals that runs into our water ways. Sky rocketing health care costs and people dying of heart decease and diabetes way before their time, because we won't get out of our cars to walk or ride bikes and get some exercise. THAT'S a waste of money.
My question is why don't criminals from Nampa stay home and commit crimes? Instead of going to Boise?
Wow, this is within 2 blocks of my kids daycare. Not ok. What is up with the rash of Boise bench shootings? Is this the norm for this area of Boise?
Doesn't this happen every year? I know I have had to wash cow crap from my bike many times. Anyway thanks for the heads up and keep your mouth closed!
I wonder why they aren't being charged with attempted murder.
Interested in reading the studies that correlate better educational results & higher levels of well-being with kids entering school at 6/7. Do you have links or other references?
Governor otter you need to sign this bill think about all the people you are going to help especially kids and adults that are suffering through vary of diseases especially sezuries, they are awful to wacth but you signing this bill think of those kids and adults who have tried everything including medicine that always have side effects that usually makes more trouble down the road. So please soften your heart and sign this bill it has help those kids and people here in Utah. Doctors are using it instead of drugs here in Utah and I have seen it first hand with my nephew who has davart syndrome he is 12 know and this cannabias oil has helped him he is doing more and concentrating more which haven't happen in years. So please in your hard of hearts sign this bill. Sign Cheryl Spangler Ogden Utah.
Labeling this as an ‘unmet need’ is pure crap.
The key issue here is the metric that is used to determine the value of educating children at earlier and earlier ages.
The current system already robs children of the ability to play and puts too much emphasis on formal learning in areas such as the three Rs at too young an age.
Just what is the rush here?
Contrary to urban legend, studies consistently show that children who enter school at six or seven consistently achieve better educational results as well as higher levels of well-being.
This continued focus on an early start to formal learning has been shown to cause profound damage to the self-image and learning dispositions of children.
If anything this rush to grind the children through the system needs to be reversed to allow the children to develop more before they are subjected to the rigorous discipline of formal education.
Ages 3 through 6 or 7 should be devoted to play-based social and emotional learning.
Formal education should begin no earlier than 6 or 7 to give the child enough time to develop naturally.
Let the children be children before they are subjected to regimentation.
This isn't the same as the free bike program you recall, Robert. Take a chance and check it out. Anyone can say "that won't work" but I know you're better than that.
LMAO Words matter? Then how about adding four of them to the anti discrimination laws?
As a side note, lobbying is just another word for bribery
Pepper spray is not the appropriate response against someone carrying a knife.
No, it is NOT police policy to execute mentally ill people. You guys really need to stop smoking the marijuana because it's rotting your brains.
This is one of the biggest waste of money jokes that government has unloaded on us for awhile. We tried this several years ago and in a short time all the bikes had been wrecked or stolen. It's no wonder the country is broke and there just doesn't any end to it. Will someone please get their head out of their ass.
Correction: the website is www.bsane.org.
Ok. I'm not really one to call out violence on violence, but please allow these foxtrot-tangos to be beaten severely by fellow inmates, or maybe even the homeowners (one of which I understand is a very bury trucker)
it's funny to think these idiots likely feel they are untouchable "hard thugs" - but really they're just wastes of flesh.
Idaho beware: California passed Prop 215 for legalizing medical marijuana and growers took this as a blank check to go crazy. They bought every patch of ground in the foothills and forests, stole water from rivers and streams, let toxic fertilizer run off into water ways and literally stripped lands of trees, all for profit. Statewide, counties are now passing tough guidelines on growers in order to save our wild lands. After experiencing first-hand the devastation bought on by greed, it is unlikely CA will ever pass pot for rec. use. For some photos, you can visit B-SANE.org
Excellent report Jessica! Thank you!
