Oct. 22-Nov. 29. “Interior/Exterior.” The exhibit explores the relationship between interior spaces, objects and environment. Undergraduate art student Ben Browne presents mixed media works of art that consist of paintings, drawings and sculptures referencing phenomenology, perception, the reciprocal relationship between object/environment and the human presence. The artwork presented requests viewers to reacquaint themselves with everyday subject matter. John Horejs. Nov. 1-30. Impressionistic oil. The beauty of nature is masterfully rendered in the impressionistic oil paintings by John Horejs. This Idaho native has become nationally recognized and is featured in numerous cooperate and private collections through out North America. Primarily known as a Plen-Aire, painter, his style reflects both the grandeur and delicate beauty of nature. The opening reception in November features music by pianist Dr. Joe Baldassarre and Darin Gere.

June 13-Nov. 30. Warm: Color and Tonality in the Permanent Collection. Boise Art Museum is Idaho’s only accredited collecting art museum. Warm is the first in a series of exhibitions exploring color in the Museum’s permanent collection of art. This exhibition showcases an eclectic arrangement celebrating the summer and fall seasons through various shades in warm hues—yellows, oranges, pinks and reds.
For artist Wendy Blickenstaff, each scene presents an opportunity to capture the essence of a moment in vibrant color. Whether painting a garden, the Grand Teton Mountains, or a stunning sunset, the viewer is transported, experiencing the beauty firsthand. Reflecting a peaceful sense of awe, her paintings become an escape into another world that is untouched by the troubles of this existence.
