Two Eagle city councilors are up for re-election on Nov. 3, including Norm Semanko, the workaholic who also runs the state Republican Party and the Idaho Water Users Association, and Jeanne Jackson-Heim, former mayor of Jackson Hole, Wyo.

Eagle's City Council election is a bit of a free-for-all. The top two candidates will get the two available positions.

So there are three challengers to Semanko and Jackson-Heim:

Amy Aaron
John Grasser
Saundra McDavid

We know McDavid ran for mayor in 2007 and lost in a runoff election and that her family makes decent barbecue. But we have not heard of Aaron or Grasser. We will call them eventually, but since this is just a blog post, they are welcome to leave their qualifications in the comments (Harvard MBA or not)!

Also, the Eagle Chamber of Commerce will hold a public forum on Oct. 13 at noon at the Eagle Church of the Nazarene, 1001 W State St. The lunch ($15 for Chamber members or $20 for non-members) is catered by Bella Aquila. But the forum is open to non-diners for free as well.
