Salvation Army Sponsoring Back to School Drive

Posted By on Tue, Aug 10, 2010 at 11:02 AM

The first day of school for students in the Boise School District is August 25, meaning many parents are beginning to stress about going back-to-school shopping and affording these often costly items. Luckily, the Treasure Valley Salvation Army is sponsoring a Back to School Supply Drive. Donations will be accepted at local Fred Meyer stores and at the Salvation Army office at 4308 W. State Street until August 22. Most-desired supplies include markers, rulers, scissors and college ruled paper.

Families who would like to receive school supplies can walk into the State Street office Wednesday August 18-Tuesday August 24 between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. Supplies will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.

For more information about the program contact Lillian Hubbell at 208-433-4423.
