Another Developer Tries Its Luck in Front of Boise P & Z

Posted By on Mon, Nov 1, 2010 at 10:18 AM

Developers of a specialty grocery store hope they have better luck when they appear Monday night before Boise's Planning & Zoning Commission (BW, News, "Oh, Henry's," Oct. 20, 2010). Better luck, at least, than developers representing Whole Foods or the JUMP project.

The Persimmon II development company will be asking for a conditional use permit to build a 25,000-square-foot grocery store and a nearby 1,800-square-foot building for specialty retail and residential units. The proposed location is a block bordered by 15th, 16th, Idaho and Bannock streets on downtown Boise's west side.

Persimmon wants to build a new Henry's Farmers Market on the site. It would be the first location outside of Southern California or Arizona.
