Good Boy, Yuma. Good Boy

Posted By on Wed, Jan 12, 2011 at 11:54 AM

A veteran of the Boise Police Department will retire Wednesday, after eight years of service. Or is that 56 years?

Yuma, an 11-year-old chocolate lab was one of the first two explosives detection K9's to serve the Boise Airport following 9/11. Yuma and his partner, Officer Anthony Damer, have performed some 5,000 career searches in Boise and around the nation.

Yuma will retire to Damer's home and "a life of sleeping, playing and long walks on the Greenbelt."
