Early voting ballots have been secured at the Ada County Board of Elections, awaiting tomorrow's election day count. Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at traditional voting locations (the same spot you voted last November).

Six candidates are vying for two spots on the Greater Boise Auditorium District board, the largest ballot in 18 years. Traditional voter turnout in the GBAD election has been dismal, averaging 2,104 in five elections since 1991. The Ada County Board of Elections reported that there are 122,102 registered voters in the GBAD district, which stretches as far east as Harris Ranch and as far west as Eagle Road.

Voters in the Meridian School District will be deciding an $18.5 million annual levy to supplement school operations. If approved, it would boost local property tax bills by $83.84 per $100,000 of assessed valuation. School levies are also being decided tomorrow in Emmett, Kuna, Melba, Parma and Wilder.

In Nampa, voters will decide whether to create a new auditorium district to serve their city. If approved, a hotel room tax of up to 5 percent could be assessed, similar to Boise.
