Music, Fireworks and Port-a-Potties

Cooler? Check. Sunscreen? Check. Port-a-Potties? Check, check and triple check.

Boise Parks and Recrations crews are out in force today, prepping Ann Morrison Park for tomorrow's big Fourth of July celebration.

Festivities include a chalk art festival, tons of kids activities, live entertainment throughout the day and, of course, the big fireworks show, scheduled to begin at 10:15 p.m. In this week's BW, we meet the man, a Boise native, who is coming back to his hometown to helm the big pyrotechnics extravaganza.

Parks and Rec officials expect a pretty robust crowd, considering Monday's forecast of sunshine and a high of 92 degrees. So, naturally, they're putting as many portable "facilities" in the park as possible.
