Video: New Rules for Eighth Street Downtown

Posted By on Tue, Aug 9, 2011 at 12:16 PM

It's still a bit of mystery to most Boise residents, but morning commuters were faced with a major change to the city's inner core this week. Effective Aug. 8, public parking is prohibited on N. Eighth Street between Bannock and Main streets, Monday through Friday, from 6 a.m. until 10 a.m. Only marked delivery trucks are able to park in the two blocks before 10 a.m. Parking by the general public in the metered spaces resumes after 10 a.m.

You can read more about the change and how commuters, delivery drivers, retailers and restaurateurs are coping in tomorrow's BW.
