Dow Ends Worst Two Days in Nearly Three Years

Posted By on Thu, Sep 22, 2011 at 4:09 PM

Wall Street suffered through another bruiser today, ending the two worst days since November 2008.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 391.01 points for a two-day loss of 5.92 percent. The upside is that investors turned to the U.S. dollar, which surged, and 10-year Treasury bonds.

All blue-chip stocks finished in the red, as did all Standard and Poor's sectors. Materials and energy stocks were hit hardest.
