Satellite to Hit Earth Tomorrow

North America appears to be off the mark, but scientists are still trying to pinpoint exactly where an old NASA satellite will crash to Earth sometime tomorrow.

The 6-ton satellite is still expected to bust into hundreds of pieces as it burns through the atmosphere on Friday. The best guess so far is that the 20-year-old satellite will hit Earth sometime Friday afternoon. New calculations indicate that it will not be over the United States, Canada or Mexico. Experts say approximately 26 large metal chunks could scatter across the planet. With nearly three-quarters of Earth's surface covered in water, chances are tomorrow's crash will be a splashdown.
