BW Preview: Idaho Plans for an Execution

Posted By on Tue, Nov 8, 2011 at 9:57 AM

The Idaho Commission of Pardons and Parole has rejected a clemency request from Paul Rhoades, who, if all goes as scheduled, will be put to death on Friday, Nov. 18. The state panel recommended that Rhoades' request be denied last Friday and informed Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter on Monday. Otter has the authority to grant Rhoades Clemency, but to do so, the parole commission must first make a recommendation.

In tomorrow's BW, we examine the days, hours and minutes leading up to 8 a.m. on Nov. 18 when Rhoades is scheduled to become only the second prisoner to be put to death since 1957.
