Officials Consider Making Off-Leash Dog Hours Permanent

Posted By on Fri, Feb 3, 2012 at 9:07 AM

Approaching its one-year anniversary, Boise's off-leash pilot project is looking for the public to weigh in on the program to determine whether it should be permanent. The program, which was approved in March 2011 and launched last April, allows off-leash areas in limited hours in Castle Hills, Cypress, Hillside, Manitou, Redwood, Sunset and Winstead parks.

The public can comment via email, phone (208-608-7617) or an online survey by clicking here.

Comments will be taken until March 1, and the Boise Parks and Recreation commission will review the program at its April meeting.
