Students Charged With Clowning Around on Railroad Tracks

Posted By on Sat, Mar 24, 2012 at 10:07 AM

Some clown was on the railroad tracks in Bellingham, Wash, Thursday ... really - it was a clown.

The Bellingham Herald reports that law enforcement received a call from Burlington Northern Santa Fee railroad officials that they had spotted a man dressed in a clown suit, along with two friends, "setting up tables and a flat screen TV set" on the tracks. Khaled Almayouf, 19, later told police that he had the idea for the stunt and brought along his friends - all three are college students from Saudi Arabia - to help.

The clownish behavior resulted in trespassing charges for the trio.

Up to 20 trains pass through Bellingham each day.
