Idaho Democrats' Turn to Caucus

Posted By on Sat, Apr 14, 2012 at 8:50 AM

Ada County Democrats aren't expecting to set any attendance records this morning, but they're still expected to put on a show at Boise State's Morrison Center. Four years ago, tens of thousands of Ada County Dems participated in what was believed to be the largest Democratic caucus in the nation. This morning's Ada County Democratic Presidential Caucus, one of a number of party-sponsored events scheduled throughout Idaho, is expected to include live music and the local premiere of the documentary The Road We Have Traveled, narrated by Tom Hanks.

But all the hoopla aside, Democrats have some business they must accomplish this morning. Any qualified voter, who will be at least 18 years old by Election Day, is welcome to register and declare their support, presumably for Barack Obama.

BW will have a team of reporters at today's caucus. Follow our coverage online at, @boiseweekly on Twitter or at our Boise Weekly Facebook page.
