Friendship Bridge will close for repairs beginning Friday, June 29

Beginning Friday, June 29, The Friendship Bridge—the Boise River span connecting Boise State to Julia Davis Park—will be closed to all bicycle and pedestrian traffic for more than three months. The Greenbelt immediately surrounding the bridge will also be closed. Pedestrian and bicycle traffic will be diverted to Cesar Chavez Lane.

After installing a new deck, the bridge is slated to reopen Saturday, Sept. 8. University officials say the public can expect loud noise from the construction site from 7 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in early July.
