Things went from bad to worse Wednesday night when Boise Police say a man was involved in a car crash, drove away from the scene of the accident, was booked for drunk driving, kicked the leg of a police officer and spit in the face of an employee at the Ada County Jail.

James Krapp, 53, of Boise is charged with leaving the scene of an accident, DUI, and battery on an officer.

Wednesday afternoon, Boise Police charged 27-year-old Jason Byington of Homedale with driving his vehicle into a parked car in a convenience store parking lot, driving away, and blowing a .20 in a field sobriety test. Law enforcement said Byington had already had his driving privileges suspended when they caught up with him in Ann Morrison Park.
