Wrong Way Driving Leads to Drug Bust

Posted By on Thu, Sep 27, 2012 at 9:21 AM

Tyler Spies is charted with DUI, possession of a controlled substance and driving without privileges.

An overnight incident that began with a motorist driving the wrong way on a one-way street went downhill from there.

Boise Police report that when they stopped 26-year-old Taylor Spies at Idaho and 14th streets, he failed several field sobriety tests and officers discovered narcotics hidden inside a cigarette pack. Police found the drugs with the help of Boise Police K-9 "Turk," who was working the late shift.

Additionally, Spies was not allowed to be driving out of Washington state because of a prior conviction.

Spies is charged with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled substance and driving without privileges.
