Boise Man Picked Up on Outstanding Warrant, Drug Charges

John Baker is charged with parole violation and drug possession.

A Boise man is behind bars facing a number of charges following an unsuccessful escape attempt through a hotel window.

Boise Police say they received an anonymous tip that 44-year-old John Baker, wanted for a series of charges on an outstanding warrant, was staying at a hotel on West Airport Way. As officers attempted to make contact with Baker, they said he was seen throwing items out of a hotel window. Law enforcement latter retrieved bags of meth and marijuana from the scene.

Baker was booked into the Ada County Jail on felony charges of parole violation and possession of a controlled substance.
