Mountain Home Officials Put Brakes on Misprinted Golf Course Promotion

Posted By on Mon, Oct 8, 2012 at 8:58 AM

When a misprint on a high school fundraising coupon book resulted in scores of golfers showing up at Mountain Home's Desert Canyon Golf Course looking for free golf, the Mountain Home City Council had to step in.

The Mountain Home News reports that the the City Council voted to end the promotion in December rather than the original end date of August 2013.

The so-called "Tiger Cards," designed to support Mountain Home High School football, doubled the amount of free golf that had been intended. City officials said the misprint caused the golf course to lose hundreds of dollars.
