i love beef, but i want to punch these farmers in their fucking faces. what can we do about this? solutions? im all in to help.

The federal government over the years has passed laws and regulations that make it impossible for small family farms and small local slaughterhouses to meet the conditions imposed and operate. Large factory operations have taken over and small operations have been driven out of business. Thyis video is only the tip of an iceberg. The employees shown are migrant workers, many of whom are illegal immigrants and work for substandard wages. The federal government and industry lobby are the prime culprit responsible. The only solution is to outlaw these factory operations and return to small local family operations throught the entire country. Consumers will pay more for dairy and meat products, the choice is yours, do you want lower costs or humane treatment of animals.

Excuse me exfarmboy... But even on small dairies horrific video has been taken that shows egregious abuse to cows and calves - Remember the one a few years ago that showed a small dairy bludgeoning calves with pick axes? And what about the small, local slaughterhouse that processed the new born calves for "veal" - They were found dismembering them while they were still alive!!!

Lets face it - Even in small operations - The calves are still stolen from the mothers... The cows are still forcibly impregnated by artificial insemination... And if the young cow ever fails to yield her share of the milk supply - She's sent to a kill floor too... Hardly a dairy cow ever makes it past 5 years old - Even though they can live to be 20... None of it is pretty. None of it is necessary either.

Adult humans do not need cow's milk any more than they need goat's milk, wolf's milk, camel's milk, giraffe's milk. Unweaned infants do remarkably better on their own mother's breast milk which is what our species was intended to consume. There's absolutely nothing beneficial to the human diet in cow's milk that can't be gotten through plant based sources.

Thankfully there's abundant plant based alternatives that are just as nutritional, just as satisfying and just as versatile in cooking. Some even have twice the amount of calcium and vitamin D as cow's milk does.

Dairy is also destructive to the environment and a tragic waste of resources. Perhaps it is time for "unweaned" adults to look beyond what deceptiveness and hype the dairy industry is pitching at you in order to keep their profits and their cruel practices in check.

Correction: These are not dairies. They are milk factories, bearing little resemblance to the agriculture we grew up with. Folks, this is where your milk comes from unless you are a discriminating shopper that insists on organic, small dairy products.

If 5 men were allowed to do this consistantly at this one plant.... Imagine what happens at other businesses that supply us with products from animals? I watched the video and was sickened at the sheer brutality of the men. Think about them going home to their wives and children with that level of explosive power!

Got cow-shit green milk? During spring when snow is melting and it rains frequently, cows on these factory dairies stand in their own shit up to the navels. Their udders drag around in the waste. They wash the cows off before milking them, but they are still filthy.
Drive around any of the farm areas in Idaho during wet weather and you can see this abuse.

This was highly frowned upon here. These people are gone. This is not usual behavior. These are a few guys who are on a testosterone trip.
Not all milkers are like this.

All ranchers and producers may not be so outwardly "cruel" to their cows... After all - They have an investment to "protect". But honestly, when these cows have their babies stolen after carrying them for 9 months... When their teats are inflamed with mastitis from being sucked by machines... When they are marched on to a kill floor because they are no longer of "value" --- All that happens daily on dairies --- And all of it is intensely cruel, unnecessary and totally unjustifiable. We simply don't need to do any of this to these docile, innocent animals. Don't make victims of others --- Go vegan! ;)
