Invalid License Plates Net Drug Bust of Boise Man

Posted By on Fri, Oct 26, 2012 at 9:28 AM

What began as Boise Police noticing invalid license plates ended up with a Boise man behind bars charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance.

Law enforcement stopped a vehicle early this morning near Dewey and 31st streets, and a check through Ada County Dispatch indicated that the suspect's license was invalid and the suspect had a current warrant for his arrest on probation violation charges.

Police said a search of the car netted oxycodone and methadone pills on the suspect's person.

John Hood, 50, is at the Ada County lockup facing charges of driving with an invalid license, probation violation and drug possession.
