Large Jury Pool for Bujak Trial Temporarily Bounces Media

Reporters were bounced from a Canyon County courtroom Monday morning, when 3rd District Senior Judge G.D. Carey said an extra-abundant jury pool took up all the space.

"There was just no room for anyone else," Carey told the Associated Press. "When there's a choice between reporters and jurors, the jurors get the seats."

Carey added that reporters were "more than welcome to be in there for the rest of the trial."

Reporters are anxious to get inside Carey's courtroom to cover the trial of former Canyon County Prosecutor John Bujak, who is charged with felony misuse of public funds.

The AP reports that Monday's jury selection began with a pool of 65 potential jurors.
